New Delhi/Athens : Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s economic growth and investment potential while addressing the India-Greece Business Forum during his visit to Greece.
Sharing glimpses of the event, Goyal said he addressed the forum alongside Harry Theoharis and also interacted with members of the Indian diaspora present at the gathering.
During his address, the minister showcased India’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained economic growth and expanding business ecosystem, describing the country as an attractive destination for Greek businesses and investors.
He also underlined the significance of the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement, saying the pact has the potential to unlock fresh opportunities for trade, investment and broader economic cooperation between India and Europe.
Calling for deeper bilateral engagement, Goyal stressed the scope for collaboration across several strategic sectors and urged businesses from both countries to co-create, co-invest and co-manufacture. He said stronger partnerships would help boost investment, deepen commercial ties and contribute to shared prosperity for India and Greece.
