Gurugram : Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh has directed all departments to ensure time-bound and priority-based resolution of public grievances received through Samadhan Shivirs, Jan Samvad programmes and the CM Window, stating that prompt redressal is essential to ensure citizens receive timely benefits of government welfare schemes.
Chairing a review meeting via video conferencing, presided over by Commissioner and Secretary, Women and Child Development Department Shekhar Vidyarthi, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of complaints registered through various public grievance platforms.
He said that Samadhan Shivirs, organised under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, are an effective mechanism for resolving public issues at the grassroots level and must be implemented in both letter and spirit.
The DC sought detailed reports from all departments regarding the number of complaints received, disposed cases, and pending grievances. He directed departments with higher volumes of complaints to undertake special drives to clear pending cases on a priority basis.
Emphasising quality in grievance resolution, Mr. Singh said every complaint must be addressed in a satisfactory and sustainable manner so that citizens do not have to approach the administration repeatedly for the same issue.
He further noted that Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini regularly monitors the functioning of Samadhan Shivirs, underscoring the importance of coordinated efforts across departments to ensure effective grievance redressal.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that timely resolution of complaints would strengthen public trust in the administration and ensure better delivery of essential services.
Officials including CTM Jyoti Nagpal, SDM Sohna Akhilesh, ACP Mukesh Kumar, DDPO Navneet Kaur and Medical Officer Dr. Priyanka were present at the meeting.
