New Delhi : According to the Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force, the 132 Helicopter Unit, known as the “Hovering Hawks,” has completed 40 years of distinguished service to the nation, marking a significant milestone in its operational history.
It is stated that in a notable achievement, the unit has attained 100 percent serviceability across all 16 helicopters in its HAL Chetak and HAL Cheetah fleet. This accomplishment underscores the unit’s exceptional professionalism, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to maintaining high operational readiness.
Operating under challenging conditions and with a legacy fleet, the unit’s air warriors have consistently ensured mission preparedness, overcoming the constraints posed by aging aircraft and demanding environments.
