New Delhi: The government has issued a clarification dismissing reports about changes in LPG refill booking timelines, terming such claims as misleading and unfounded.
According to the official statement, recent news reports and social media posts suggesting revised timelines for different categories of consumers—including Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries—are incorrect.
The government reaffirmed that the existing refill booking norms remain unchanged: a minimum gap of 25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas, applicable uniformly across all types of LPG connections.
Citizens have been urged not to pay heed to misinformation or engage in panic booking of LPG refills. Authorities also assured that sufficient LPG stocks are available across the country, and there is no need for concern.
