Gurugram : Ravindra Malik held a meeting with ward councillors from Zone-4 of the Municipal Corporation Gurugram to review civic issues in the area and ensure their prompt resolution.

The meeting, held at the Joint Commissioner’s office, was attended by officials from departments responsible for sanitation, parks, streetlights, and other civic services related to Zone-4. The discussion focused on identifying key problems in the wards and accelerating action to address them.

During the interaction, councillors raised several concerns affecting their respective areas, including sanitation management, waste collection, sewerage and drainage systems, road conditions, maintenance of parks, streetlight repairs, and drinking water supply.

Malik directed officials to resolve the issues raised by councillors in a time-bound manner. He stressed that negligence in providing basic civic services would not be tolerated and instructed departmental teams to conduct field inspections and take swift corrective measures.

He also asked officials to strengthen sanitation arrangements and ensure regular and systematic waste collection across the wards. Development and maintenance work related to roads, parks, drainage systems, and streetlights should be completed on priority so that residents do not face inconvenience, he added.

The meeting also concluded with a decision to hold similar review meetings regularly to improve coordination between civic officials and elected representatives. The initiative aims to speed up development works and ensure better delivery of public services in the city.
