Gurugram : Putting an end to the long wait of the people of Gurugram, now the dream of metro expansion in the city is going to come true. On the coming Friday, September 5, the Bhoomi Pujan of the proposed Metro expansion project will be done in Gurugram. Union Housing and Urban Affairs and Energy Minister Manohar Lal and Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will perform Bhoomi Pujan. The program will be organized in the parking area located in front of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) office, Sector-44.
DC Ajay Kumar visited the venue on Tuesday evening and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned departmental officers and reviewed all the preparations to make the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony a success. He informed that Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini will attend this historic occasion after the meeting of the District Grievance Redressal Committee on the morning of September 5.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh, Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar and Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary will be present.

DC Ajay Kumar informed that a public meeting will be organized in the Gurugram University campus after Bhoomi Pujan so that the citizens of Gurugram are also directly connected with this important project of the city. Here the Chief Minister will address the public and inform about the benefits of the Metro expansion project. He said that the Metro expansion of Gurugram will not only expand the traffic facility, but it will also give new momentum to the economic, social and industrial progress of the city. This will not only strengthen the connectivity network of Delhi-Gurugram, but will also provide easy and fast travel facility to lakhs of passengers every day.
ADC Vatsal Vashisht, SDM Sanjeev Singla, DPRO Bijendra Kumar, PWD XEN Charandeep Rana and departmental police officers were also present on this occasion.
