MLA Gurugram and Municipal Commissioner Visit City Area, Takes Stock of Drainage Arrangements

– Instructions given to the officials to ensure fast drainage during the rainy season, so that the citizens do not face any inconvenience

Gurugram : Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma and Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya jointly visited the city on Tuesday to provide relief to the citizens from the problem of waterlogging during the rainy season. During this, councilors, Municipal Corporation and GMDA officials were also present with them. During the tour, drainage arrangements were reviewed at various places and clear instructions were given to the officials that water drainage should be ensured quickly and effectively during the rainy season, so that people do not face any inconvenience.

The tour started from Civil Lines and reached Agrasen Chowk. Drainage work was going on here with the help of pumps. The MLA and Municipal Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to increase the number of pumps as per the need and ensure that the water is drained out in the shortest possible time.

Inspection of Sohna Chowk Multi Level Parking

After this, via Sadar Bazar, he reached to inspect the newly constructed multi level parking at Sohna Chowk. This state-of-the-art parking built by Municipal Corporation Gurugram has three basements and five floors. 56 shops have been built in it, while it has a parking capacity of 230 cars and more than 100 two-wheelers. It also has facilities like three lifts, centralized air conditioning and stag parking in the basement. Officials said that this facility will soon be dedicated to the general public, which will provide a permanent solution to the parking problem in the market area.

Preparation for permanent solution on Sheetla Mata Road

After this, the team also inspected Sheetla Mata Road. Here, GMDA officials were instructed to ensure fast drainage during the rainy season and prepare necessary action plans for permanent solution before the upcoming monsoon and implement them on the ground.

MLA Mukesh Sharma said that the objective of the government and the administration is that the citizens should not face any kind of problem during the rainy season. He told the officials to remain active and solve the problems and also visit the field from time to time.

Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that all the teams of Municipal Corporation and GMDA remain alert during the rains and are ensuring immediate action in any situation. He said that additional pumps and machinery have been deployed in various parts of the city, so that the problem of waterlogging can be controlled immediately.

On this occasion, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Yadav, Chief Engineer Vijay Dhaka, Executive Engineer Sandeep Dhundhwal and Vikram Singh along with councilors and officers were present.
