PM Modi and Chinese President Jinping Meet : Jinping talks the Dragon and the Elephant come Together

New Delhi/ Tianjin : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on a platform after 7 years. Both of them talked for about 50 minutes. In the bilateral talks, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, border agreement and improving relations between the two countries were discussed. Emphasis was laid on strengthening the business relations between the two countries. Ar the arrival of PM Modi there was a grand welcome at the airport of Tianjin in China.

During this meeting for which all the world leaders are awaiting, Jinping said that he was happy to meet PM Modi. Jinping said that it is right for both the countries to become partners who help each other’s success. The dragon and the elephant come together. China and India are two ancient civilizations. We are the two most populous countries in the world. We are also important members of the Global South. We both bear the historic responsibility of bringing the necessary reforms for the welfare of our people and promoting the progress of human society.

On the other hand PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome towards Chinese President and said, ” I sincerely thank you for the warm welcome. Last year, we had a very meaningful discussion in Kazan, which gave a positive direction to our relations. An atmosphere of peace and stability has been established after disengagement at the border. Our Special Representatives have reached an understanding on border management. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has resumed, and direct flights between the two countries are also being started. The cooperation between us is linked to the interests of 2.8 billion people of our two nations. This will also pave the way for the welfare of all humanity. We are committed to further strengthening our relations on the basis of mutual trust, respect, and sensitivity. ”

PM Modi said that ” I heartily congratulate you on China’s successful presidency of the SCO. Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks for the invitation to visit China and for today’s meeting. ”
