Votes are Being Stolen in the Name of ‘SIR’  in Bihar : Rahul Gandhi

Patna : Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi raised questions on the Election Commission’s initiative of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list in Bihar. Congress leader alleged saying that votes are being stolen in the name of ‘SIR’  in Bihar. He shared a report and on social media platform ‘X’ on Thursday and said that “Election Commission in Bihar caught red handed stealing votes in the name of ‘SIR’. He commented saying that ” The work is only theft, the name is ‘SIR’ and FIR will be lodged against the one who exposes it.”

As per the media report it was claimed that the BLOs were allegedly filling the voter forms and signing them.” on the basis of that report Congress MP Rahul Gandhi raised questions asking  “Is the EC still the ‘Election Commission’ or has it completely become the ‘election theft’ branch of the BJP?”

Earlier also, Rahul Gandhi had accused the Election Commission of cutting the votes of a large number of people through special intensive revision in Bihar. In a rally in Assam on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi claimed, “The BJP and the Election Commission have stolen the Maharashtra elections. The same thing is now being tried to be done in Bihar.”

However, the Election Commission has rejected the opposition’s claims several times. The previous day, the Election Commission also informed that 88.65 voters’ forms have been filled under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) across the state.
