INIFD Mentor Ashley Rebello was at INIFD to teach the art of Fashion Design to the budding designers of Inter National Institute of Fashion Design and gave his creative inputs for their Design portfolio. Star Designer and INIFD Mentor Ashley Rebello was here to share the intricacies of his designs in his upcoming projects like ‘Sultan’, ‘Dabangg 3’ & ‘Bigg Boss – Season 10’ with INIFD students & INIFD Global faculty. He also shared information on his new upcoming projects.
Star Bollywood Designer & Stylist Rebello is the mentor to INIFD students from past 15 years. He is the Exclusive Stylist of Salman Khan for his blockbusters like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, Jai Ho, Dabangg 2, Ek Tha Tiger, Bodyguard, Ready, Dabangg & many Bigg Boss Seasons, Dolly Ki Doli with Style Icon Sonam Kapoor and produced by Arbaz Khan, Ek Mein Aur Ekk Tu, and many more hit films, Fashion Stylist Ashley has also launched a new face Trishaan Singh in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Sarbjit.
The
famous International celebrity, Baywatch Star Pamela Anderson sizzled in the beautifully designed traditional attire by Ashley Rebello for her special entry in ‘Big Boss – Season 4’. Star Designer Ashley said, “I have been visiting INIFD centres across India despite of my busy schedule and as a Mentor to the INIFD students, I am teaching the ‘Art of Designing’ to them. At INIFD Gurgaon, I am impressed with the immense talent in the design students”.
He was at INIFD to brush up the talent of the INIFD students and to teach them the finer intricacies of the glamorous world of Fashion Design.
INIFD has organized this exclusive designer workshop with Ashley Rebello to enable the stude
nts to seek his seasoned guidance and benefit from his personal experience. During this workshop, Ashley Rebello briefed the students about design industry, how to start their own venture, the intricacies of designing for Bollywood & Hollywood stars and also secret of his success. In this specialized workshop students were taken through the different stages of the Fashion Design process – draping & practical detailing. Ashley spoke on the fashion trends of today globally. He also give inputs on design industry’s trends in Bollywood, gave information about the materials trends, yarns, colours, fashion trends related to embellishments, accessories, etc.
From ramp shows to divas of the Hindi film Industry from stunning brides to hot models in photo shoot. He has dressed them all. Clothes according to Ashley are not just something you wear to cover your skin; clothes have to be your skin. You have to be one with that outfit….almost as if you were born for it. He has designed for the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai, stunning Katrina Kaif, the lovely Asin, sizzling Jacqueline Fernandez and the elegant Tabu….the list of lovely ladies is endless. He has designed for Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shahid Kapur, Imran Khan. ‘Clothes make the man’ said Mark Twain.
And Ashley Rebello believes he was ever so right. He reviewed the portfolios of the INIFD student Designers and gave his creative inputs. He had an hour long question answer session with students to satisfy their curiosities from the role of designers in Bollywood to participating in Lakme Fashion Week.
Ashley shot into prominence for giving a new look to Salmaan Khan. He designed for all the hot item numbers starting from Malaika Arora for ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, Isha Kopikar for ‘Khallas’ to Yana Gupta for ‘Babuji’. Ashley also has to his credit the exclusive gowns that he designs for all important international pageants like Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss India.
Rebello is the most sought after designer who has designed the wardrobe for the hottest women of Bollywood. He is also one of the rare international fame designers, who are Magician of sorts, who can give you a new persona in matter of few seconds. He is the first Indian Designer to design clothes for Oscar winning directors. He is designing outfits for Nicole Kidman (Best known as Mrs. Tom Cruise).
He has also designed outfits for international television actress, Hunter Tylor and for many more Hollywood stars. Ashley Rebello designed the extravagant gown worn by Nicole Kidman for her number ‘Chamma Chamma’ in the blockbuster Hollywood musical Moulin Rouge The Designer Workshop of Ashley was a great learning experience for the INIFD students, which provided them with direct hands on experience of being a star designer. The design workshop also created awareness about the stylish and versatile upcoming fashion trends.
