Street Plays in Schools, Colleges and Villages Spread Message of Social Responsibility and Public Service Under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

Five cultural troupes of Haryana’s Department of Art and Cultural Affairs stage street plays under ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’; BJP National Secretary Dr. Swadesh Singh urges youth to make spirit of service a part of life

Gurugram, September 30: As part of the ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’ programme being organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a series of street plays was staged across various urban and rural areas of Gurugram on Monday. Five cultural troupes of the Department of Art and Cultural Affairs, Haryana, performed street plays at government schools, colleges and villages along different routes, delivering messages of service, social awareness, public participation and nation building.

Through impactful dialogues, acting and cultural performances, the artists sought to sensitise students and members of the public towards their social responsibilities and encourage greater community participation.

The first cultural troupe performed at Government Senior Secondary School, Sukhrali, and Government College for Girls, Sector 14, where Gurugram Deputy Mayor Anup Singh attended the programme as the chief guest.

The second troupe staged performances at Government Senior Secondary School, Manesar; Government PG College-09A; and Bas Padamka village. The third troupe performed at Government Senior Secondary School, Kanhai; Government College, Sector 52; and Bhokarka village.

The fourth troupe presented street plays at Government Senior Secondary School, Bandhwari; Government College, Jatauli Mandi; and Pahari village, while the fifth troupe performed at Government Senior Secondary School, Gwal Pahari; Government College, Manesar; and Baghanki village.

Dr. Swadesh Singh Urges Youth to Make Service a Part of Life

At the street play programme held at Manesar College, BJP National Secretary Dr. Swadesh Singh attended as the chief guest. Addressing students and local villagers, he said that service should not be viewed as an activity limited to a particular occasion, but as an ongoing responsibility towards society and the nation.

He said there is a need to strengthen the spirit of service, discipline, social participation and nation building among the youth. Appreciating the message presented by the artists through the street play, Dr. Singh said cultural programmes are a powerful medium for communicating important social messages to people from all sections of society in a simple and effective manner.

BJP District President Sarvpratyagi Attends Sector 52 Programme

At the programme organised at Government College, Sector 52, BJP District President Sarvpratyagi attended as the chief guest. He appreciated the street play presented by the artists and said that art and culture are effective means of conveying important messages to society.

He said such programmes can help sensitise the younger generation towards service, social responsibility and issues related to national interest, while also promoting a positive outlook in society.

He added that various activities being organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan are helping take the message of service and social responsibility to people with active public participation.

College Principal Dr. Indu Rao was also present at the programme.

Street Plays to Be Held at More Schools, Colleges and Villages

DIPRO Bijender Kumar said that various service-oriented and public awareness activities under the campaign will continue across the district until October 17.

He said the first cultural troupe will stage street plays at Government Senior Secondary School, Chakkarpur; Dronacharya Government College; and Bhodakhurd village.

The second troupe will conduct programmes at Government Senior Secondary School, Manesar; Government College, Sidhrawali; and Sidhrawali village.

The third cultural troupe will perform at Government Senior Secondary School, Sarhaul; Government College, Rithoj; and Ghamroj village.

The fourth troupe will stage programmes at Government Senior Secondary School, Kasan; Government College, Pataudi; and Jamalpur village.

The fifth troupe will perform at Government Senior Secondary School, Sadharana; Government College, Farrukhnagar; and Sultanpur village.

Bijender Kumar said street plays will be organised in schools in the morning, colleges in the afternoon and villages in the evening to ensure maximum participation of students as well as rural and local communities.
