Invites American manufacturers to expand in India, partner with Indian SMEs and co-invest in advanced manufacturing

New Delhi/Washington, D.C.: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal addressed a business roundtable convened by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), bringing together representatives of both small and large manufacturing companies from across the United States.

Goyal highlighted the strong momentum in India-US economic ties, while outlining India’s expanding industrial base and growing pool of skilled and trained workforce.

The Minister invited American manufacturers to explore opportunities to deepen their presence in India, strengthen partnerships with Indian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and pursue joint investments in advanced manufacturing.

He emphasised the potential for closer industry-to-industry collaboration between the two countries to develop resilient and diversified supply chains and create value for both the Indian and US economies.

The interaction provided a platform for engagement with American manufacturers on opportunities emerging from India’s expanding manufacturing ecosystem and the scope for greater bilateral investment, technology partnerships and industrial cooperation.
