New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BRICS Leaders jointly planted Banyan tree saplings at the Summit venue in New Delhi, highlighting the collective commitment of BRICS nations towards environmental sustainability.

The Banyan tree holds deep-rooted significance in Indian civilisation, thought and culture, symbolising longevity, strength and continuity. Its presence at the Summit venue also carried a broader message of shared responsibility towards protecting the environment.
