New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the UAE’s active and constructive participation in BRICS under India’s Chairship, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s contribution to strengthening cooperation within the grouping.
The two leaders discussed opportunities to further expand India-UAE cooperation in strategic and emerging areas, with particular focus on defence, space, nuclear energy, technology and innovation. The discussions reflected the growing scope of the bilateral partnership beyond traditional areas of economic and commercial engagement.
Prime Minister Modi and Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and expanding cooperation in areas that can contribute to economic growth, technological advancement and greater strategic convergence between the two countries.
The meeting also underscored the importance of the India-UAE relationship as both countries continue to strengthen cooperation across trade, investment, energy, connectivity, defence, advanced technologies and people-to-people ties.
