Manohar Lal and German Environment Minister Carsten Schneider reaffirm commitment to sustainable and affordable energy transition
New Delhi : Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal met Carsten Schneider, German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Climate Protection and Nuclear Safety, in New Delhi to discuss key areas of cooperation in the energy and climate sectors.
The discussions focused on energy security, electrification, low-carbon development and carbon markets, highlighting the growing convergence between India and Germany on the need to accelerate sustainable energy transitions.
Manohar Lal said the two countries share a common commitment to developing energy systems that can simultaneously meet the requirements of security, affordability and sustainability.
