Ayodhya: Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Air Marshal (Retd) Jeetendra Mishra, arrived in Ayodhya on Thursday to formally assume his new responsibility.
Speaking to the media after his arrival, Mishra said this was his first visit to Ayodhya since taking charge of the new assignment. He said he would first complete the formalities of assuming office and then share his plans for the temple administration and future responsibilities.
“This is my first visit to Ayodhya after taking on this new responsibility. Let me first go and take charge, and then I will share the plans,” Mishra said.
Expressing gratitude for his selection, the former Air Marshal thanked the selection committee and the Trust. He also attributed the opportunity to the blessings of Lord Ram.
Mishra said he felt particularly fortunate to have been entrusted with two significant responsibilities during his life — first, serving the nation in the Indian Air Force, and now serving Lord Ram, his devotees and the administration of the Ram Temple.
“I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been given this responsibility twice in my life — once in the service of the nation, and now in the service of Ram Temple, his devotees, and the administration of the temple,” he said.
The appointment of Mishra marks a significant administrative development for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees the construction and management of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He has become the first CEO of the Trust.
Mishra retired from the Indian Air Force on April 30, 2026, after a career spanning nearly four decades. He served as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Air Command and held several senior operational and command appointments. He was also associated with Operation Sindoor and has been decorated with the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal.
His appointment comes as the Trust undertakes further organisational strengthening and prepares for the next phase of development and administration of the Ram Temple complex.
