Jodhpur : Enhanced air connectivity is emerging as an important part of Jodhpur’s growing profile, complementing the city’s rich royal heritage, culture and tourism appeal.

A new flight service operated by Air India Express from Jodhpur Airport, managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), to Delhi and Mumbai commenced operations on September 1, 2026.

The new services are expected to provide passengers with more convenient and seamless travel options between Jodhpur and two of India’s major metropolitan centres.

The enhanced connectivity will also strengthen Jodhpur’s integration with the country’s wider aviation network, benefiting tourists, business travellers, local residents and the regional economy.

Jodhpur, popularly known as the Blue City, attracts visitors for its historic forts, palaces, heritage architecture and distinctive Rajasthani culture. Improved air connectivity to Delhi and Mumbai can further support the city’s tourism and commercial potential by making it easier for domestic and international travellers to reach the region.

The development also aligns with the broader objective of strengthening regional air connectivity and improving access to major economic and urban centres through India’s expanding aviation network.

In essence, the new Air India Express services add another boost to Jodhpur’s connectivity, linking the heritage city more closely with Delhi and Mumbai while supporting tourism, business and regional economic growth.
