New Delhi: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan visited the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi today and signed the Condolence Book following the passing of King Harald V of Norway.
On behalf of the Government and people of India, the Vice President conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Norway, expressing India’s solidarity with Norway at this time of grief.
The condolence visit comes at a significant moment in India–Norway relations, which have witnessed considerable expansion in recent years. The partnership encompasses cooperation in areas including green technology, renewable energy, sustainable ocean management, the blue economy, maritime cooperation, innovation and research. Both countries have also been working to deepen economic and technological engagement.
India and Norway also share close cooperation within the broader India–Nordic framework, particularly on climate action, clean technologies, maritime issues and sustainable development.
The condolence visit by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan reflects the warmth and longstanding friendship between the people of India and Norway, while underscoring India’s solidarity with the Norwegian Royal Family and people at this moment of mourning.
