Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary chaired a review meeting of the Urban Development and Housing Department at the ‘Sankalp’ auditorium located at Lok Sevak Awas, focusing on measures to improve urban infrastructure and civic amenities in Patna.
During the meeting, officials were directed to work with greater speed and prepare an effective action plan to make Patna cleaner, more attractive, better organised and adequately illuminated.
The Chief Minister placed particular emphasis on ensuring that all existing street lights across the city remain functional and properly maintained. He also called for the installation of new street lights equipped with solar-based and integrated systems, aimed at improving illumination while promoting energy-efficient solutions.
Officials were further instructed to undertake measures to properly organise and improve the areas surrounding Gandhi Maidan, with a focus on enhancing its overall appearance and preserving its natural beauty.
The review meeting underlined the state government’s focus on strengthening basic urban services and improving the overall experience of residents and visitors in the state capital.
The directions are aimed at creating a cleaner, greener, better-lit and more orderly Patna through improved civic infrastructure, efficient maintenance and technology-driven urban solutions.
