New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held restricted-format talks with Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, during which the two leaders reviewed the progress of the India–Uzbekistan strategic partnership and discussed ways to further strengthen multifaceted bilateral cooperation.
Following the meeting, Bakhtiyor Saidov said the discussions focused on key issues related to advancing the strategic partnership between India and Uzbekistan. Both sides reviewed the dynamic progress in practical cooperation, reflecting the implementation of agreements reached by the leadership of the two countries.
The ministers noted that bilateral engagement continues to gather momentum through active and substantive dialogue at various levels, reinforcing cooperation across multiple sectors.
Dr. Jaishankar and Saidov also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming high-level engagements, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining regular diplomatic interactions and expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting underscored the growing strength of India–Uzbekistan relations and both countries’ shared commitment to deepening strategic, economic, and diplomatic ties.
