Jaipur : In line with the directions of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to ensure prompt, transparent and effective redressal of public grievances, Labour Commissioner Pooja Kumari Parth inspected the Rajasthan Sampark 181 Call Centre at the State Secretariat on Monday and reviewed complaints related to the Labour Department.

During the inspection, the Labour Commissioner assessed the status of complaints received by the department, including the number of disposed and pending cases, complainant satisfaction levels, the department’s disposal performance compared to the state’s average resolution time, and the categorisation of complaints by subject.

She also reviewed the use of the Sampark AI Tool for analysing complaints, identifying trends in similar cases, and detecting recurring issues requiring administrative attention.

Pooja Kumari Parth said that the majority of complaints received by the Labour Department relate to:

  • Labour diary issues
  • Beneficiary registration
  • Distribution of benefits under welfare schemes
  • Maternity assistance
  • Scholarships
  • Toolkit assistance
  • Security deposit-related matters
  • Refund of deposited amounts
  • Payment of minimum wages

She directed officials to ensure that such complaints are handled with sensitivity, transparency and within the prescribed timelines, enabling workers and their families to receive the benefits of government schemes without unnecessary delay.

The Labour Commissioner further instructed officials to conduct an in-depth analysis of complaints of a similar nature and, where necessary, reclassify them so that cases reach the appropriate office more quickly for effective resolution.

She also emphasised the need for:

  • Early disposal of pending cases
  • Regular monitoring of complaints
  • Continuous improvement in complainant satisfaction levels

During the visit, Pooja Kumari Parth also interacted directly with complainants over the phone through the Rajasthan Sampark 181 Call Centre to obtain feedback. Complainants shared issues related to labour diaries, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), and the distribution of benefits under various welfare schemes.

She directed the concerned officials to take prompt action and ensure the timely resolution of all grievances.

Officials and staff associated with the Rajasthan Sampark Portal and the Labour Department were also present during the inspection.
