New Delhi: In a major administrative action amid ongoing controversy over alleged paper leaks and irregularities in examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has terminated the services of 47 officials as part of a broader restructuring exercise.
Sources indicate that legal and criminal action may also be initiated against some of the officials found allegedly involved in irregularities or lapses related to the examination process.
The action is being seen as part of the government’s proposed complete overhaul of the National Testing Agency, which has faced criticism following allegations of question paper leaks and concerns over the transparency of national-level examinations.
The government is working towards strengthening the examination system, improving accountability, and creating a more secure and transparent mechanism to prevent future irregularities.
