New Delhi: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to review the preparations and arrangements for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra in the national capital.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed all concerned departments to ensure that no shortcomings are left in providing services, security, and essential facilities for Shiva devotees participating in the yatra.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to make timely arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, toilets, medical facilities, security measures, and other necessary services through a single-window system for better coordination and smooth management.
She further directed that grand welcome gates should be installed at various locations, and Kanwariyas should be welcomed with floral showers as a mark of respect and devotion.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta herself will also welcome the Kanwariyas during the yatra.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Kanwar Committee and Cabinet Minister Shri Kapil Mishra, members of the committee, and senior officials from various departments concerned with the arrangements.
The Delhi Government has emphasised that all agencies must work in coordination to ensure a safe, organised, and comfortable Kanwar Yatra experience for devotees.
