New Delhi, July 24: The Delhi Police has constituted a Special Task Force (STF) to investigate offences related to public examinations under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
The newly formed STF will be responsible for conducting prompt, professional, and comprehensive investigations into cases involving unfair means, examination malpractice, and other offences covered under the Act.
The task force will investigate offences related to public examinations conducted by the following agencies :
Union Public Service Commission
(UPSC)Staff Selection Commission
(SSC)Railway Recruitment Boards
(RRBs)Institute of Banking Personnel
Selection (IBPS)National Testing Agency
(NTA)Ministries and Departments of the Central Government, including their attached and subordinate offices conducting recruitment examinations.
Any other authority that may be notified by the Central Government from time to time.
The move is aimed at ensuring greater transparency, accountability, and integrity in the conduct of public examinations by enabling specialised investigation into cases of paper leaks, cheating, impersonation, and other examination-related offences under the provisions of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
