New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has constituted a new Fast Track Court to exclusively hear cases registered under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, with immediate effect.
The move comes amid growing concerns over examination-related irregularities, including alleged paper leaks and unfair practices affecting the credibility of competitive examinations.
The newly constituted court will focus on ensuring speedy disposal of cases related to offences under the Act and strengthen the legal framework aimed at preventing malpractice in public examinations.
The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 was enacted to curb organised cheating, question paper leaks, and other unfair practices in government recruitment and entrance examinations, while ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the examination process.
The establishment of the Fast Track Court is expected to provide a more effective judicial mechanism for dealing with such cases and reinforce confidence among students and examination aspirants.
