New Delhi : A delegation from the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has successfully concluded a productive visit to the United States, focusing on strengthening cooperation between India and the US in the coal sector, including advanced technologies such as coal gasification.
According to the Official Twitter account of the Embassy of India, Washington, DC, the delegation visited key locations including Bismarck, Pittsburgh and Washington DC, where it held discussions with stakeholders on expanding collaboration and sharing expertise in the energy sector.
The engagements explored opportunities for enhanced India–US cooperation in coal technology, innovation and sustainable utilization of coal resources, with special emphasis on coal gasification, a technology that can help convert coal into cleaner energy products and reduce environmental impact.
The visit reflects the growing strategic partnership between India and the United States in the field of energy security, technology exchange and sustainable development.
