New Delhi : The Embassy of the Iran in India has expressed its sincere appreciation to the Government and people of India for their participation in recent memorial ceremonies held in honour of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
In a statement, the Embassy thanked the Indian delegation, which included political leaders, Members of Parliament, scholars, intellectuals, and representatives of diverse faith communities, for attending the solemn observances and paying their respects. It said their presence reflected the long-standing cultural, historical, and people-to-people ties between the two nations.
The mission noted that the participation of Indian dignitaries and civil society representatives was seen in Iran as a gesture of friendship and solidarity during a period of national reflection. It added that such expressions of support would be remembered as a symbol of mutual respect and goodwill.
Reaffirming the importance of bilateral relations, the Embassy said the shared sentiments demonstrated the enduring strength of India–Iran ties and laid a foundation for further strengthening engagement between the two countries in the future.
