Islamabad Pushes Peace Efforts as Pakistani PM Holds Talks with Saudi Crown Prince

New Delhi : The Prime Minister of Pakistan shared details of his meeting with Mohammed bin Salman on social media platform X, describing it as a “pleasure and honour” to meet the Saudi Crown Prince in Jeddah.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s patience and restraint under the Crown Prince’s leadership amid challenging regional circumstances.

He also briefed the Crown Prince on recent developments related to Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives, highlighting its role in facilitating the U.S.–Iran ceasefire and hosting significant peace talks in Islamabad. The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to encouraging dialogue between the United States and Iran to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.

Expressing gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s support, he acknowledged the Kingdom’s backing of Pakistan’s sincere peace efforts. The discussions also covered economic cooperation, with the Prime Minister appreciating Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan’s economic stability.

Both leaders emphasized the strong defence and security ties between their countries and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding partnership.
