New Delhi : Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met Kash Patel, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, today for an in-depth discussion on strengthening bilateral cooperation between India and the United States in key areas of security. The outcome of the meeting is released by the Embassy of India, Washington, DC on social media ‘X’.
During the meeting, both sides held a comprehensive exchange of views on enhancing collaboration in counter-terrorism efforts, with a focus on intelligence sharing, disrupting terror financing networks, and addressing emerging threats. They also reviewed ongoing joint initiatives aimed at combating organized crime, including transnational criminal networks involved in cybercrime, human trafficking, and financial fraud.
The discussions further covered coordinated strategies to tackle the growing challenge of narcotics trafficking, emphasizing stronger enforcement mechanisms, capacity building, and information exchange between the two countries’ agencies. Both leaders acknowledged the importance of sustained institutional cooperation and regular dialogue to effectively respond to evolving global security challenges.
The meeting underscored the depth and resilience of India–U.S. strategic ties, with both sides expressing commitment to further strengthening partnership frameworks to ensure regional and global security.
