New Delhi : The Unique Identification Authority of India has signed an agreement with MapmyIndia to facilitate the display of authorised Aadhaar centres on the Mappls mobile application, aiming to enhance convenience for residents across the country.
The collaboration will allow users to easily locate verified Aadhaar centres and identify them based on the services offered, such as new enrolments for adults and children, as well as updates related to address and mobile numbers.
The initiative is expected to improve accessibility, reduce misinformation, and ensure seamless access to Aadhaar Seva Kendras and other authorised centres nationwide. The agreement was signed on April 1, 2026.
UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said the partnership reflects the authority’s commitment to a resident-centric approach. He noted that digital mapping of verified Aadhaar centres will make it easier for citizens to find authentic service points.
Under the arrangement, MapmyIndia will integrate UIDAI-provided data into the Mappls platform, ensuring accurate digital mapping and clear identification of authorised Aadhaar centres. Once rolled out in the coming months, users searching on the app will be directed only to verified locations.
MapmyIndia Co-founder and CMD Rakesh Verma expressed confidence that the initiative will significantly improve public access to Aadhaar services through the Mappls App.
