Indian Embassy in UAE Activates 24/7 Helplines for Citizens , Ambassador Reassures Indian Diaspora

New Delhi : India’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Deepak Mittal, has assured members of the Indian community that the Government of India is closely monitoring the situation and prioritising the safety and well-being of its citizens in the UAE and the wider region.

In a message addressed to the Indian diaspora, the Ambassador said he has been in regular contact with community members over the past 48 hours during the ongoing challenging circumstances. He emphasised that the Indian government places the highest importance on ensuring the security of its nationals abroad.

Mittal noted that Narendra Modi has spoken with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar had earlier held discussions with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He thanked the UAE leadership for their prompt and effective measures to safeguard the country, its residents, and the Indian community.

The Ambassador also stated that the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and the Indian Consulate in Dubai are working round the clock to assist community members. According to him, 24/7 helplines and email support services have been activated to address concerns and provide assistance to Indians in the UAE.
