New Delhi :  Differences have surfaced between Keir Starmer and Donald Trump regarding Britain’s role in the recent military strikes on Iran.

Addressing Parliament, Prime Minister Starmer stated that President Trump had conveyed his disagreement with Britain’s decision not to take part in the initial phase of the attacks. He noted that the US President had expressed concern over the UK’s absence from the first round of strikes.

Responding to the criticism, Starmer said his priority was to act in the national interest of the United Kingdom. He emphasized that the government’s decision was made after careful assessment of the situation and was guided by what it believed to be the country’s strategic and national priorities.
