Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh Instructs to Speed up  E-library and Community Center Projects in New and Old Gurugram

Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh expressed satisfaction over the progress of urban development projects in the meeting of HSVP Gurugram, gave instructions to resolve pending issues

Gurugram : Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh today held a detailed meeting with the officials of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) at PWD Rest House in Gurugram. The objective of this meeting was to review the functioning of the authority, resolve pending issues, budget status and evaluate the progress of new and ongoing projects.

Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh discussed in detail the progress of the proposed e-library projects in New and Old Gurugram in the meeting. Taking complete information from the officials, he said that in this era of knowledge and technology, modern facilities like e-library are very necessary for the youth and students. HSVP officials informed the Cabinet Minister that one acre of land has been identified for this project in Sector 56 of New Gurugram, while the work of identifying land in Old Gurugram is in progress. The Industry Minister directed the officials to take this project forward on priority so that e-library can be launched in both these areas as soon as possible.

The status of the proposed community center in Sector 57 was also discussed in the meeting. HSVP officials informed that the land required for the community center has been identified and construction work will be started on the ground within the next three months. Apart from this, the progress of construction of the proposed college building in Pataudi was also discussed in detail. Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh was told that a consultant has been appointed for the college and after the drawing is completed, an estimate of the cost required for construction will be prepared. Along with this, the minister emphasized on the renovation work of roads in Sector 37 Industrial Area and said that the roads of this area should operate smoothly so that the industries do not face any inconvenience. HSVP officials said that the tender process for this renovation work has been completed and the work will be started after September 15.

The Cabinet Minister discussed in detail the functioning of Haryana Urban Development Authority, Gurugram during the meeting. He directed the officials that the authority should pay special attention to the quality and timeliness of the schemes to effectively meet its set targets. Along with this, he emphasized on the Municipal Corporation and Gurugram Master Plan Authority (GMDA) to quickly resolve the pending cases regarding the transfer of sectors and roads so that the efficiency of urban administration can be improved.

The status of cases related to land acquisition, compensation distribution and land possession was also reviewed in the meeting. Rao Narbir Singh directed the officials to ensure quick and fair resolution of all disputes so that there is no hindrance in the development work. While reviewing the budget for the financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26, the Industry Minister said that the schemes should be implemented as per priorities by making maximum use of the available resources. He called for transparency in budget planning and monitoring of expenditure so that the schemes are completed effectively and properly.

Administrator of Haryana Urban Development Authority Gurugram Vaishali Singh, Estate Officer-1 Rakesh Saini, Estate Officer-2 Anupama Malik, Superintending Engineer Manoj Saini and other officers were present in the meeting.
