– In the meeting, decisions were taken to increase the number of garbage collection vehicles within three days, remove garbage trolleys from main roads, stop garbage coming from outside to Gurugram, proper disposal of C&D waste, Municipal Corporation officials will be seen in the field from Monday, etc., the Commissioner will review again after a week.
Gurugram : Haryana government is committed to make Gurugram city clean. Urban Local Bodies Department Commissioner and Secretary Vikas Gupta held a high-level meeting to make Gurugram city clean. MLA Mukesh Sharma, Divisional Commissioner RC Bidhan, DC Ajay Kumar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya and Mayor Rajrani Malhotra along with nodal HCS officer of cleanliness were present. DC Ajay Kumar welcomed Commissioner and Secretary Vikas Gupta on his arrival at the meeting.
City residents will be made aware about garbage management
Urban Local Body Commissioner and Secretary Vikas Gupta gave clear instructions in the meeting that the number of vehicles collecting garbage door-to-door should be increased in the next three days. For this, all HCS officers should arrange 10 vehicles each at their own level. The cooperation of Municipal Corporation councilors should also be taken in this work. While giving instructions to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, he said that the Municipal Corporation should install GPS in these vehicles at its own level. Also, all the main roads, sector dividing roads should be completely clean and the garbage trolleys parked there should be removed. He said that more garbage is dumped at those places where there is already garbage. Along with this, garbage should be lifted regularly from all the secondary garbage collection points. He also sought cooperation from MLA Mukesh Sharma, who was present in the meeting, to make the people of the city aware about garbage management.
Cooperation in cleanliness will also be taken from those who comment on social media
While sharing his experience about cleanliness in the meeting, he said that everyone should have information about which house’s garbage is picked up by which person and where it is going. For this, proper mapping of the city should be done. Along with this, he also instructed to prepare the C&D waste management plan in the next three days. He also sought necessary suggestions about cleanliness from the officials present in the meeting and also told that there is no shortage of resources to make Gurugram clean. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has instructed that whatever resources are needed for the cleanliness of the city should be made available immediately. He said that whatever work will be done within the next three days, he will personally review it on the coming Friday. He also talked about taking cooperation in this work from those who comment on social media about cleanliness.
Necessary action will be taken on the suggestions of MLA Mukesh Sharma
Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma told about places like Bajghera, Wazirabad and Sector-21 on Dwarka Expressway that garbage from Delhi is being dumped at these places outside Gurugram every day. Along with this, thousands of illegal slums have also been built illegally in these areas. Sorting of garbage coming from Delhi and other illegal activities are done at these places. The commissioner and secretary took cognizance of the MLA’s words and directed the municipal corporation officials to take necessary action at these places. Along with this, he assured to take necessary action by listening carefully to all the suggestions of the MLA to make the city clean.
Municipal corporation officials will be seen in the field from today
Gurugram division commissioner RC Bidhan also directed all the municipal corporation officials to go to the field from Monday so that the system of the city can be strengthened within a week. Municipal corporation councilors should also be included in this work. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that the Municipal Corporation has started an intensive sanitation drive. Under this, ward wise junior engineers (JE) have been deployed, who will be present in the field and ensure cleanliness. He also said that the instructions given by the Commissioner regarding C&D waste should be followed in the area.
