– All administrative and police staff including DC Ajay Kumar and CP Vikas Arora remained active throughout the day, first day’s exam was conducted peacefully
– Faces of candidates and parents brightened with the facilities provided from home to the examination center
– Along with public transport services, candidates were also taken to the examination center by government and private vehicles, police riders played the responsibility of helping the candidates
– Pick and drop from home to Divyangjan and wheel chairs and other facilities were also provided at the examination center
Gurugram : The Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C posts conducted by Haryana Staff Selection Commission was conducted peacefully on Saturday. Candidates going from Gurugram to Faridabad and coming from other districts to take the exam in Gurugram were very excited with the facilities of Haryana Government. The Haryana government provided free transport facility to the candidates from home to the examination center.
Not only this, if any candidate reached anywhere other than the designated place, the district administration took them to the designated examination centers with the help of government and private vehicles. The riders of Haryana Police also lived up to this responsibility. At the centers set up for shuttle bus service within the district, the police riders were seen taking the candidates to the designated place throughout the day. The administration also provided pick and drop facility to the disabled candidates of the district. Among 36372 applicants 33040 students appeared in the first day of first session exam. Almost 3332 students were absent on all 145 exam centers .
DC Ajay Kumar and Police Commissioner Vikas Arora remained active throughout the day on Saturday and kept inspecting the pick up points and the examination centers throughout the day. All the DCPs, SDMs, Joint Commissioners, ACPs, Tehsildars, Police Station Incharges of the district were seen active in the field throughout the day. Due to which thousands of candidates and their parents who reached Gurugram to take the exam looked happy. DC Ajay Kumar on Saturday inspected the shuttle service centers built at Rajiv Chowk, Tau Devi Lal Stadium and IMT Chowk in Manesar.
A strong room has been made at Government Women’s College, Sector 14 for the material related to the examination. Strict security arrangements have been made from the strong room to all the 145 examination centers of the district. 64 duty magistrates have been appointed by the district administration. The examination material was transported from the strong room to the examination centers under tight security on Saturday with videography in the presence of the duty magistrate. All the examination centers will be monitored through CCTV cameras and jammers have also been installed. Bus service to Faridabad will continue on Sunday as well
Bharat Bhushan Gogia, General Manager, Haryana State Transport Department said that for the convenience of about 7800 students of Gurugram district, free bus travel facility was provided from six places namely Gurugram Bus Stand, Pataudi Bus Stand, Sohna Bus Stand, Farukhnagar Bus Stand, IMT Chowk Manesar, Sector 52 GMDA Bus Stand to Faridabad on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, bus service was available from these places from 4 am to 5.30 am and for the afternoon session from 9 am to 10.30 am. This service will continue on Sunday as well.
Shuttle bus facility available from five places 
He said that the district administration had arranged free shuttle bus service from five places to the examination centers for the convenience of students coming to Gurugram from Rohtak, Sonipat, Rewari and Nuh districts. Shuttle bus services continued from IMT Chowk Manesar, SGT University Budhera, Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Rajiv Chowk Parking and Laser Valley located in Sector 29 from Saturday morning. Candidates appeared excited due to easy access from home to the examination center. Most of the candidates also thanked Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini for this facility. SDM Darshan Yadav of Manesar and SDM Sanjeev Singla of Badshahpur said that refreshments were also arranged for the convenience of the candidates at these centers. This service will continue on Sunday as well.
Candidates got help from the control room
To ensure that the candidates do not face any problem in reaching the examination center in Gurugram district, help desks have been set up at Gurugram bus stand, railway station, Millennium City Center Metro Station, IFFCO Chowk and Rajiv Chowk. ALC Kushal Kataria reached different help desks throughout the day and kept monitoring the guidance of the candidates. In view of the CET examination, a control room has been set up in the Mini Secretariat by the district administration to help the candidates. On Saturday, more than 700 candidates contacted the control room helpline numbers 0124-2972349, 2972351, 2973347, 2973348 and 2974350. The control room was fully active to provide all kinds of information related to the exam and to solve the problems of the candidates quickly. This control room will remain active till 10 pm on 27 July.
