He said that recently, the government approved a new scheme; Employment Linked Incentive Scheme. Under this scheme, the government will provide ₹15,000 to youth securing their first job in the private sector
He said that the government will contribute to the first salary of the first job. The scheme will assist in creating 3.5 crore new employment opportunities.
He said that with the changing times, the nature of jobs in the 21st century is also evolving. New sectors are emerging, and that’s why over the past decade, India has focused on preparing its youth for these changes. Important decisions have also been taken in this direction
He said that the ecosystem of startups, innovation, and research that is being developed in the country today is enhancing the capabilities of the youth.
PM Modi said that today, one of India’s greatest strengths is our manufacturing sector. A large number of new jobs are being created in manufacturing. To boost the manufacturing sector, the “Mission Manufacturing” initiative has been announced in this year’s Budget
In the past years we have strengthened the #MakeInIndia initiative. With the help of PLI Scheme only, more than 11 lakh employment opportunities have been created in the country.
