Solar Panels will be installed on subsidy in Dharamshalas of Scheduled and Backward Classes

Government will give subsidy up to 75 percent, registration on NITI Aayog portal is mandatory

Gurugram :  ADC Vatsal Vashisht said that through the Department of New and Renewable Energy and HAREDA, the government is running a scheme to install grid connected solar power plants to promote energy conservation and solar energy. Under this scheme, grid connected solar power plants will be installed by the state government in the registered Scheduled and Backward Class Dharamshalas of the district on 75 percent subsidy, 25 percent of which will be borne by the concerned institution. Solar power plants of up to five kilowatts will be installed in these Dharamshalas without battery bank.

Giving information, ADC Vatsal Vashisht said that this scheme is being done by the Haryana government on first come first serve basis.

Apart from this, grid connected solar power plants will be installed at 50 percent subsidy in the state’s working women’s hostels, orphanages, old age homes, children’s homes, Nari Niketan, natural hospitals, Red Cross institutes and other charitable institutions. He said that 50 percent of its amount will be given by the concerned institution and solar power plants up to 50 kilowatts will be installed in these institutions without battery bank.

The ADC said that it is mandatory for interested social organizations to register on the Darpan portal of Niti Aayog.
