Industry Minister Rao Narbir Singh flagged off from Gurugram, will cover a distance of 1500 km in Rajasthan
Gurugram : Haryana is constantly setting new examples in the field of science, technology and health services. In this series, the country’s first mobile surgical robot training unit ‘SSI Mantra M’ was flagged off from Gurugram on Wednesday. This journey was started by Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh. This unit is a symbol of ‘Made in India’ surgical technology and will cover a distance of 1500 km in major medical institutions of Rajasthan.
Rao Narbir Singh said on this occasion that it is a matter of pride for Haryana that a world-class technology company like SS Innovations is operating from here. He said that “SSI Mantra M” is a historic initiative towards making modern surgical care available to the common people, which will strengthen the health infrastructure of the country. This journey is a proof of the innovation power of Haryana.
He was informed that this state-of-the-art mobile unit is based on BharatBenz 1824 chassis with a gross vehicle weight of 18,500 kg. This unit is equipped with the country’s first ‘telesurgery on wheels’ facility, which includes live surgical demos, interactive training and guided sessions. Through real-time telecommunication and possible satellite connectivity, this unit will be able to deliver healthcare services even in remote areas.
The journey will formally start from SMS Medical College, Jaipur on July 3, after which it will reach Jodhpur, Ajmer and other medical institutions. More than 500 doctors and medical students will be trained in the first phase.
Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman of SS Innovations, said that this is not just a technical journey, but the beginning of a new era of surgical education in India. He believes that this endeavor will provide direct access to advanced technology to medical professionals at every level.
