Gurugram : State Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini gave necessary guidelines while holding a review meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners and officials of other related departments across the state through video conference on Wednesday regarding the arrangements made to deal with the waterlogging situation in view of the monsoon. During this, the Chief Minister directed that there should not be a situation of waterlogging on the roads for a long time in any district during the rainy season. He said that the concerned District Deputy Commissioner should ensure all the necessary arrangements including pump set, cleaning of drainage for water drainage. No negligence will be tolerated in this work. District Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar and officials of the concerned departments joined the VC under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner RC Bidhan from the office of the Divisional Commissioner of Gurugram.
District Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, while giving detailed information to Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini about the arrangements made for the rainy season in the district, said that the cleaning of most of the drains in the district has almost been completed. At the same time, the cleaning of the remaining drains will also be done soon. Apart from this, he told that all the waterlogging potential places in the entire Gurugram have been identified and necessary arrangements including pump sets have been ensured. Giving information, he said that there are 180 pump sets in the district, which are being used as per the need when there is waterlogging. Apart from this, officers have also been put on duty for monitoring waterlogging at possible places.
All resources related to waterlogging drainage should be in working condition: Deputy Commissioner
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the concerned officers to stay in the field continuously and keep monitoring the waterlogging in the district. He said that in view of the monsoon, no officer should be on leave. He directed that all the drains in the district should be clean and all the resources related to the drainage of water should be in working condition so that they can be used in case of waterlogging anywhere.
Samadhan camps should be organized at the sub-division level including the district headquarters: Chief Minister
During the VC, the Chief Minister also reviewed the complaints received in the Samadhan camp from the concerned District Deputy Commissioners. He said that the Deputy Commissioners should ensure that the complaint does not remain pending in the district and if any complaint has been rejected, then for what reason it has been done. Apart from this, he instructed the Deputy Commissioners to organize Samadhan camps every Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon at the district headquarters as well as the sub-division level. He said that all the Deputy Commissioners should also organize a review meeting every Friday regarding the complaints received in the Samadhan camp. He said that the state government is working with the spirit of Antyodaya. All the Deputy Commissioners should ensure that the benefits of the public welfare policies of the government reach the last person in the line.
