Gurugram : Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan on Tuesday visited the ICAT campus in Manesar and reviewed the preparations for the country’s first National Urban Local Body Conference to be held on July 3 and 4.
Mr Kalyan reached the venue and took a detailed look at all aspects like parking, food management, traffic management, arrival and exit routes, seating arrangements, program timetable, lift capacity and testing. He took separate information from the officials on the status of every arrangement and gave instructions for timely and systematic implementation.
The Assembly Speaker said that it is a matter of pride for Haryana that we have got the opportunity to host this national level conference. In such a situation, as a state event, Haryana will effectively make this conference a success. He informed that during the conference, the representatives coming from different states across the country will also be introduced to Haryanvi culture and the guests will be given a grand welcome with Haryanvi culture. He informed that all the arrangements related to accommodation, food, transport and security have already been ensured for these representatives. Special vehicles have been arranged to facilitate the guests to travel from their places of stay to the venue. The representatives of each state will be welcomed in accordance with the Haryanvi tradition and help desks are also being set up to provide them necessary information at the venue.
The Assembly Speaker said that through the conference, Haryana will get an opportunity to showcase its administrative efficiency, cultural identity and excellent city management in front of the representatives from all over the country. During the inspection, Mr. Kalyan gave clear instructions that all the departments should work in coordination so that no representative or visitor experiences any kind of inconvenience and reaffirm the arrangements at the ground level.
DC Ajay Kumar informed that all the major preparations related to the event have been completed and the remaining technical arrangements will also be completed on time. He said that on the inaugural day, along with cultural presentations, an exhibition based on urban development schemes and innovations will also be organized, which will showcase the achievements of Haryana. The closing ceremony will be held on July 4.
On this occasion, CP Vikas Arora, Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Municipal Corporation Manesar Commissioner Ayush Sinha, DCP Dr. Arpit Jain, ADC and Nodal Officer Vatsal Vashisht, CTM Ravindra Kumar, Gurugram SDM Paramjeet Chahal, Badshahpur SDM Sanjeev Singla, Manesar SDM Darshan Yadav, Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Ravindra Yadav and Jitendra Kumar, ALC Kushal Kataria and officers of other departments were present.
