New Delhi : Cooperatives, Prisons, Elections, Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr Arvind Sharma said that the resolution taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to revive the cooperative movement after 75 years of independence of the country is being fulfilled with full intensity and seriousness under the able guidance of Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah. He said that in the last 11 years, Haryana has contributed by participating actively in all the schemes of the Central Government, similarly, Haryana will play an important role in reviving the cooperative movement under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini.

Haryana’s Cooperation Minister Dr Arvind Sharma on Monday participated in a brainstorming meeting with the Cooperation Ministers and Administrative Secretaries of the states under the chairmanship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. In the meeting, after receiving guidance from Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on various goals including giving impetus to the cooperative movement, connecting every household with cooperation, Cooperation Minister Dr Arvind Sharma expressed his views on Haryana’s role in cooperation. Cabinet Minister Dr Arvind Sharma said that after 75 years of independence of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has revived the cooperative movement and dreamed of prosperity through cooperation, today Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is moving forward towards fulfilling it with full intensity and seriousness. The change that the Ministry of Cooperation has made the poor, farmers, youth and women of the country feel in its four-year journey under his leadership is getting ready to make a big contribution to the country’s five trillion economy. He said that to consolidate the scattered strength of the country’s agriculture sector and cooperative sector, a revolutionary initiative is being taken to establish Tribhuvan Patel Cooperative University under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Minister Amit Shah, which will prove to be the foundation stone in Bharat Nirman. On July 5, Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah himself will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of Tribhuvan Cooperative University in Anand.

Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, Haryana is promoting technological innovation by providing facilities like digital banking, online fertilizer distribution, cold storage to rural areas. The way cooperative societies, milk unions, cooperative banks and federations in Haryana have played a role in making farmers empowered, self-reliant and entrepreneurial is an example for the whole country. By making cooperative loan schemes simple and accessible, encouraging FPOs and connecting farmers to the market through HAFED, we are making meaningful efforts towards increasing the income of farmers. In this year’s budget, the Haryana government has allocated Rs 1254.97 crore for the cooperative department, making an unprecedented increase of about 59 percent. Similarly, a provision of Rs 70 crore has been made for the Chief Minister’s Milk Producer Incentive Scheme and a target of 15 percent more milk collection in the state through Dairyfed has been set. Establishment of milk collection centers in every block of the state and chilling plants at the district level will provide more expansion and market to ‘Vita’ products. Also, self-employment opportunities will be provided to the youth by setting up 350 new booths of Vita. He said that in the last 11 years, Haryana has not only implemented the public welfare schemes started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upliftment of every section including poor welfare, farmers, women, youth, but has also set an example for other states in their implementation. He assured that Haryana will once again make a significant contribution in the goals of prosperity through cooperation and connecting every home with cooperation.
