DC Ajay Kumar reviewed the preparations in the district for the NEET exam to be held on May 4
Gurugram : The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) will be conducted across the state on May 4. Gurugram district has the highest number of 6,672 candidates registered for this exam, who will appear for the exam at 18 examination centers in the district. The district administration has completed all the preparations for the fair and systematic conduct of the examination.
In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) today held a review meeting with administrative officials and other officials related to examination management. CTM Ravindra Kumar, ACP Sushila, HIPA Joint Director (Administration) Jyoti Nagpal, DEO Indu Boken, City Coordinator Vinod Kumar Yadav, all nodal officers and superintendents of centers were present in the meeting.
The DC said that there should be a two-tier security system at all centers to conduct the examination smoothly. From the administrative point of view, caution has been taken on every aspect so that there is no irregularity or hindrance in the examination.
He said that basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, toilets and adequate seating arrangements should be ensured at each centre. In addition, monitoring of strong rooms and maintenance of logbooks will be done with complete transparency. It has also been ensured that the logbook is filled regularly till the examination process is over and its record is kept safe.
The DC directed to coordinate with the police department regarding traffic management around the examination centres, so that the candidates do not face any inconvenience and they can reach the centres on time. Parents have also been appealed not to create unnecessary crowd outside the examination centres.
It is worth mentioning that this time a total of 162 centres have been set up for NEET examination in entire Haryana, in which seating arrangements have been made for 60,687 candidates. Due to the highest number of candidates in Gurugram, special preparations have been made here regarding security, traffic and facilities.
