Gurugram : DC Ajay Kumar has appealed to the general public in Gurugram district to maintain law and order in the district after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, not to post any such post on social media which may affect religious harmony.
DC Ajay Kumar said after the video conference meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi that the district residents should not post any video, photo or record in the form of post with the intention of using indecent language, hurting any particular person, caste, religion or sect. If any objectionable post is posted by any person or organization, legal action will be taken against them as per the rules.
He said that no person should spread any kind of wrong rumor on social media platform. If anyone spreads rumors on social media or makes any wrong comment on anyone’s religion or caste, the police will take strict action against him.
The DC has appealed to the people to maintain mutual brotherhood in the society and not pay attention to any rumor. He said that social media should be used only to promote cooperation, mutual brotherhood and harmony. Immediately inform the police about wrongdoers and mischievous elements.
He appealed to the general public and said that if any anti-social element or suspicious person is seen around you or in any emergency situation, immediately inform the concerned police station or dial 112. The name of the informer will be kept confidential.
