Gurugram : Dr. Sumita Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue, today reviewed the progress of various projects in Gurugram. In the conference hall located at the Mini Secretariat, she held extensive discussions with the concerned officials regarding the major projects related to the district, namely Administrative Tower, Residential Complex of Revenue Department, SDO (Civil) Sohna Office and Residential Complex, Tower of Justice, Residential Complex for Judicial Officers and RRTS etc. and also gave necessary guidelines.
ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena welcomed the Additional Chief Secretary on his arrival in Gurugram and gave detailed information about the progress related to various projects. Dr. Sumita Mishra took detailed information about the proposed site for Administrative Block-2 to be built in the Mini Secretariat Complex. She gave instructions to include necessary works related to facilities and environmental protection in this project as per the needs of the increasing population in future. She took information about the necessary process related to the newly constructed residential complex of the Revenue Department.
Construction of SDM office and residential complex will be completed in Sohna next year
The Additional Chief Secretary also took necessary information about the progress of construction of SDO (Civil) office and residential complexes to be built in Sohna. XEN of PWD department Charandeep Singh Rana informed the Additional Chief Secretary through PPT that the work of these complexes has started, the construction of the office complex to be built at a cost of Rs 1772.66 lakh is proposed to be completed by 24 October 2026 and the construction of residential complexes for officers and employees to be built at a cost of Rs 356.25 lakh is proposed to be completed by 1st May 2026.
The construction of Tower of Justice should be completed as soon as possible
The Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner, while giving instructions to the concerned officer regarding the progress of construction of Tower of Justice being built near the Mini Secretariat complex, said that this is an important project for the infrastructure related to judicial service. He took detailed information about the three major components of this project namely the main building, escalator block and multilevel basement parking through PPT.
Instructing the PWD officials, he said that first of all the focus should be on the main building and escalator block and it should be completed as soon as possible. Its progress should be continuously reviewed through the DLC, a committee formed at the district level for the construction of this building. XEN Charandeep Singh Rana said that the work of this project is in the final stage. He directed to speed up the process related to the construction of the Tower of Justice as well as the residential complex of the judicial service officers.
Also reviewed the works related to the RRTS project
He also took information about the Sarai Kale Khan to SNB via Manesar, Dharuhera RRTS project. He also discussed in detail about the start of construction work on the ground, its construction period, the structure of the station to be built on the proposed route and the estimated cost of the project. He said that the traffic system of Gurugram and Rewari district is going to get new dimensions with this project. In such a situation, special arrangements should be made for parking of visitors’ vehicles at all the stations of the project.
He said that the officials should ensure that a separate place is marked for auto stand in the parking space. Apart from this, separate arrangements should be made for street vendors, hawkers as well as adequate space for basic facilities. He said that it would be better if the parking space is covered with solar panel shades. On one hand, this will provide shade to the vehicles and on the other hand, it will also strengthen the efforts of energy conservation.
On this occasion, Gurugram’s SDM Paramjeet Chahal, CTM Ravindra Kumar, RRTS project related officer Kamlesh Kumar Gupta, DRO Naresh Jowal, XEN (Electrical) Naveen Kumar and officials of the concerned departments were also present.
