Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar Reviewed the Ongoing road Development Projects in the District

Gurugram : Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar chaired a review meeting in the conference hall at the Mini Secretariat regarding the progress of road projects going on in Gurugram, in which officials of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority and related departments participated.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar gave clear instructions in the meeting that all the work related to road renovation should be completed before June 15 and with high quality. He also said that negligence or delay at any level will not be tolerated. He said that

Wherever road renovation or construction is being done in the district, the cleaning of drains and renovation of footpaths should be ensured first. He said that it is our collective responsibility to provide safe and smooth traffic system to the citizens.

In the meeting, GMDA officials said that work is going on on 17 projects at a cost of about Rs 330 crore to strengthen the city’s traffic system and infrastructure, which includes widening, strengthening and construction of new roads. These works will bring major improvement in the traffic system of Gurugram in the coming years. Officials said that under the related road projects, the construction of the outer road of Sector 68 will be completed by June 2025. Widening and strengthening of the 30 meter wide road of Udyog Vihar Road is also going on.

In the upcoming plans, construction of an elevated flyover from NH-48 to Vatika Chowk is proposed at a cost of Rs 710.10 crore. Apart from this, there is a plan to upgrade the master road of Sector 114 at a cost of Rs 10.65 crore and to build footpaths and cycle tracks between Sector 58/61 and 59/61. Repair work is also going on on some roads under Defect Liability Period (DLP). All these projects will play an important role in improving the traffic system and infrastructure of the city.

Sohna SDM Sanjeev Singla, XEN Vikas Malik from GMDA, XEN Charanjit Rana from PWD, XEN Panchayati Raj Ajay Sharma and other officials were present in the meeting.
