Chandigarh, March 26 : Haryana Chief Minister  Naib Singh Saini said that the Haryana Public Gambling Prevention Bill 2025 was unanimously passed in the Assembly today to curb illegal activities like gambling and betting in the state.

While discussing the Haryana Public Gambling Prevention Bill 2025 introduced during the ongoing budget session in the Assembly today, CM Naib Singh Saini informed the House that many families have been ruined due to gambling and betting. There is a need to make a strict law to protect people from this, so this bill has been brought in the House.

Shri Saini said that many times gambling and betting are also used to change the environment and to take political advantage. He said that through this bill, match fixing and spot fixing will also be curbed. Under the bill, provision has been made for strict punishment against the culprits as well as heavy fines. He informed that in this important bill, provision has also been made to confiscate the property acquired by the culprit.
