DM Ajay Kumar orders to implement section 163 to vacate Tower A, B and C of Chintels Paradiso

District Magistrate Ajay Kumar has given orders to implement section 163 regarding the citizens living in Tower A, B and C of Chintels Paradiso to vacate their flats with immediate effect

– All three towers have been declared unsafe in the CBRI investigation report, the towers will have to be vacated within 15 days of the District Magistrate’s orders

– DTP (E) Gurugram has been given the responsibility of nodal officer and duty magistrate to monitor the orders

Gurugram, March 20 : District Magistrate and Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority Ajay Kumar has passed orders to implement section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code regarding the citizens living in Tower A, B and C of Chintels Paradiso Group Housing Society to vacate their flats with immediate effect after the tower was declared unsafe in the structural audit report.

The orders issued by District Magistrate Ajay Kumar said that the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) in its investigation report has declared Towers A, B and C of Chintels Paradiso Group Housing Society unsafe for living. Based on the report, the District Magistrate has ordered immediate evacuation of the concerned residents on the basis of Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defence Code along with Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 to prevent danger to human life, health and safety, in view of the imminent danger to life and property of the residents living in Tower A, B and C.

The orders also said that the residents living in Tower A, B and C will have to vacate their respective premises within 15 days of the issuance of the order and hand over the vacant possession of the same to M/s Chintels India Private. DTP (E) Gurugram has been appointed as the nodal officer and duty magistrate to monitor the orders. The orders also said that the help of police force can also be taken for compliance of the orders. If anyone is found guilty of violating the orders issued, then action will be taken under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code 2023 and Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other legal provisions in force.
