Gurugram : Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti was celebrated in CD International School on dated 23/1/2017. Many activities were performed on the life of Neta Ji Subhas Chandra Bose. Students were excited while listening about him and his contribution towards the country. Yashpal Yadav ( Director, CD Group of Schools ) said his bravery, courage & patriotic zeal inspire us. On his birth anniversary, I bow to the proud son of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He also said Subhas Chandra Bose is affectionately called “Netaji”, who is known for his supreme sacrifice and his role in the freedom struggle of the country. Although Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru have received maximum credit for their roles in India’s freedom struggle, the contribution of Netaji is no less.
He founded Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj) to overthrow the British Empire and came to acquire legendary status among Indian masses.
For a long time, his followers have demanded his birth day be named as “Desh Prem Divas”.
He also said “It a matter of concern that we have forgotten our freedom fighters. If a country and its society forgets its great leaders and also does not remember its past and traditions, then its existence is in jeopardy. However, the ideals and thought of our great freedom fighters is the guiding force for our people.
