Directs Officials to Optimise Parking Capacity, Improve Traffic Management and Strengthen EV Charging Infrastructure
New Delhi : Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu made an impromptu visit to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA)’s multi-level parking facility at Nehru Place to review its operational efficiency and traffic management arrangements.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor directed officials to maximise the available parking capacity, ensure smooth vehicular movement, maintain high service standards and strengthen electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at the facility.
Emphasising the need to improve public convenience, Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu stressed that parking facilities must operate efficiently and provide a seamless experience for commuters and visitors.
The initiative aims to reduce the time spent searching for parking spaces, ease traffic congestion, facilitate smoother journeys and enhance convenience for citizens visiting the busy commercial hub of Nehru Place.
