DC Uttam Singh prohibits photocopy shops, cyber cafés and several other activities within 500 metres of examination centres
Gurugram : In view of the examinations being conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) from October 1 to October 24, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Uttam Singh has issued orders imposing restrictions around all examination centres in the district under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
The examinations for Secondary (Academic/Open School), Senior Secondary (Academic/Open School), and D.Ed. First and Second Year will be conducted daily from 2 pm to 5 pm.
According to the order, on examination days, photocopy/photostat and Xerox shops, cyber cafés and related establishments in the vicinity of examination centres will remain closed from one-and-a-half hours before the commencement of the examination until its conclusion.
The order also prohibits the carrying of weapons within a 500-metre radius of examination centres. Entry of unauthorised persons into examination centres without a valid identity card has also been prohibited.
In addition, unlawful gathering of people around examination centres with the intention of disrupting or interfering with the examination process has been prohibited.
The District Magistrate has directed that any person violating the restrictions will face action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and other applicable legal provisions.
